  • Provide resources on:
    • LGBT* identities and coming out
    • Sex and gender
    • Health and wellness
    • Heterosexism, homophobia, and transphobia
    • Social justice efforts and LGBT* rights
    • Intersectional LGBT* identities
    • LGBT* employment issues
  • Provide free safer sex information and supplies
  • Create opportunities for students to build relationships with peers, faculty, and staff across identity lines  
Our Mission Statement

The PB Poorman PRIDE Center provides the campus with an inclusive, safe, and fun atmosphere that embraces diversity and allows individuals to explore issues of gender and sexual identities. The PRIDE Center staff strives to support the social, emotional, academic, and professional development of the LGBT* community and allies by providing high quality services, information, and opportunities in order to:

  • Foster leadership
  • Strengthen awareness
  • Advocate for equality
  • Cultivate community
